Erasmus+ internship in leasing

Car, van and machinery leasing from the inside, at our Warsaw office: how a lease is priced, which documents a lessor asks for, and how a client chooses between offers. Trainees prepare real quotes with their mentor and see the vehicle handed over at the end.

Field of study (ISCED-F 2013)
0412 Finance, banking and insurance
Suits
VET learners in finance, sales or business administration; students of finance, banking, economics or management
Language
English B1, or Turkish
Length
10 days to 12 months

What the trainee does

  • Learn how operating, finance and consumer leases differ, and which one suits which client.
  • Prepare leasing quotes from several lessors: term, down payment, buyout value and monthly instalment.
  • Check a company's or a foreigner's documents against the lessor's list before the application goes in.
  • Research vehicles for our leasing catalogue: prices, equipment and delivery times.
  • Follow a lease from the application to the handover of the vehicle.

Learning outcomes

Written the way Table A of the Learning Agreement asks for them.

Knowledge
Operating, finance and consumer leasing in Poland; how VAT and the tax limits for company cars, which depend on CO₂ emissions, change a lease; what a lessor checks before it says yes.
Skills
Building a leasing quote; comparing offers on the total cost, not only the monthly instalment; putting together a complete application.
Competences
Accuracy with figures; working to a lessor's deadlines; explaining a contract's terms to clients from other countries.

Sample project

A comparison of three leasing offers for one car, for example its electric and petrol versions, with a summary of the total cost, presented to the team in the last week.
